  • Door County boasts the second largest concentration of lighthouses of any county in the U.S.

  • Door County's shoreline offers plenty of public beaches (over  30!), including Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Baileys Harbor, Jacksonport,  Sturgeon Bay and Washington Island. Swimming beaches also are located in  Peninsula State Park, Potawatomi State Park, Newport State Park, Whitefish  Dunes State Park and Rock Island State Park.

  • Ring in the New Year at the Annual Polar Bear  Swim in Jacksonport at noon sharp on New Year's Day, then travel to Egg Harbor  to enjoy the zany fun of the Egg Harbor New Year's Day Parade.  

  • The Door County Festival of Blossoms is a month  long celebration of spring. During the month of May special events include a countywide lighthouse walk, boat, trolley and scenic air tours, and community  celebrations with arts and crafts, food and music.

  • Celebrate the Fourth of July in Door County.  Parades, music, food, arts & crafts, fireworks and more are  offered from Sturgeon Bay to Washington Island.

  • In early August visit the Door County Fair,  featuring grandstand events, carnival rides, food stands and much more.

  • October brings fall festivals. Pumpkin Patch  Festival is celebrated in Egg Harbor on Columbus day weekend. Sister Bay Fall  Festival and the Cider Pressing Party and Fall Festival on Washington Island  are the weekend after.
